Designer and actor Masaba Gupta, daughter of Neena and husband Satyadeep Misra, welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on October 11, 2024. In an exclusive interview with India Today, Neena opened up about this life change, surprisingly stating, “Koi feeling nahi hai, abhi sirf responsibility hai” (There's no feeling, just responsibility). She’s currently more focused on ensuring her daughter Masaba gets enough rest, revealing that she takes charge of her four-hour naps. For Neena, the joy of becoming a grandmother is still overshadowed by the immediate practicalities of post-baby care.

But of course, there’s still room for a little gush. The Panchayat actor shared that her granddaughter bears a striking resemblance to her father, Satyadeep. When asked what qualities she hopes the little one will inherit from her parents, Neena expressed her wish for a balanced personality, hoping her granddaughter would combine Satyadeep's calm and composed demeanor with Masaba’s fierce determination.

The proud grandmother also joked about her own personality, brushing off any comparisons, "No no, I am not zen at all," she laughed. With her quick wit and warm honesty, it’s clear that Neena is navigating this new role in her own way—responsibilities first, feelings later.
