'Music Soubhadra' Experiment

The 37th Pune Festival featured an experiment in music by Soubhadra, produced by Swarraj Chhota Gandharva Pratishthan Pune.

This 142-year-old musical Saubhadra is still young today. The charm of this play in the minds of the audience is still the same. The actors playing roles in this eternal play are also from the young generation. The main roles were performed well by Chinmay Joglekar, Abhishek Avachat, Sanmita Dhapte, Tejas Mestri, Snehal Potdar and won the appreciation of the audience. The roles of Shreyas Indapurkar, Rituparna Pingale, Smita Patil Pooja Parkhi, Mandar Joshi, Vedant Joshi, Amod Kelkar were also excellent. The beautiful accompaniment of Swanand Nene – Organ and Karthikswamy Dahiphale made the performance colorful. There was a large crowd of appreciative audience for this musical play.

Pune Festival Vice President Krishnakumar Goyal, Chief Convenor Adv. Abhay Chhajed, Cultural Program Coordinators Dr. Satish Desai and Mohan Tillu felicitated the office bearers of Swarraj Chhota Gandharva Pratishthan and the actors of the play. Chinmay Joglekar also felicitated the daughter of veteran theatre singer and actress Jaymala Shiledar, Smt. Deepti Bhogle, in memory of her.

This play was directed by Ashok Avchat. It was produced by Charushila Kelkar. Music was directed by Sucheta Avchat. Charushila Kelkar conducted the program. Sucheta Avchat proposed the vote of thanks. Kaka Dharmawat, Atul Gonjari and Shrikant Kamble were present on the occasion.
