Rotary is an NGO dedicated to social work not only across the country, but also internationally. But there are many talented artists hidden among these Rotarians. “Rotary’s Rainbow”, a program at the Pune Festival was an attempt was made to give them a rightful platform.
The annual program “ Rotary’s Rainbow ” was organized at the Pune Festival this year as well . During this program, Mohan Tillu, the head of the Balgandharva program, presented an introduction.
Pune Festival Chief Organizer Adv . Abhay Chhajed honored Rotary District 3131 Provincial Governor Ro . Santosh Marathe , First Lady Tanuja Marathe, and Past District Governor Pankaj Shah.
Responding to the felicitation, Ro. Santosh Marathe gave information about the various projects and socially useful works currently being carried out by Rotary around the world. .Pune Festival Chief Convenor Adv . Abhay Chhajed praised the Rotary work and presented the role of Pune Festival regarding the need and utility of organizing the program “ Rotary’s Rainbow ” . Under the guidance of Pune Festival President Hon . Suresh Kalmadi, the memories of social activities done with Rotary were also revived.
Following this was a performance by singers from various Rotary clubs in Pune as well as a group dance. Satirical skits were also presented. The program was coordinated by Ro. Hema Bellad. Finally, Ro. Urmila Haldankar proposed the vote of thanks. Pune Festival's Atul Gonjari and Shrikant Kamble managed the event.
